Spider-Man: Homecoming, 2017 – ★★½

I’m not a fan of the Spider-man films but this one got such good reviews that I gave it a shot. Still don’t like Spider-man films. To sum this one up:

“Woah!” “Ouch!” “Aw shucks” “Whoops!” “Hi there!” “Sorry!”

All too flip and silly for my taste.

Blow-Up, 1966 – ★★★★

Mostly an interesting artifact from the 60s. I half expected Austin Powers to jump out any moment. Less a murder mystery than a reflection of art, reality, and something else I haven’t yet figured out. I also can’t decide if I loved or hated the tennis court scene at the end.

I don’t mind grain so much but HP5+ @1200 in Diafine is pretty darn grainy.

Uninstalled NeoVim until I have my regular Vim configuration nailed down. Switching between them was muddying the waters.

I spent the afternoon wrangling Vim into just the way I like it for writing. Could use maybe a touch more contrast, but it’s darn close.

A problem with apps that depend upon their own convenient “cloud” library is when they won’t launch, like with Ulysses right now.

For those complaining that Adobe is breaking their promise to “offer a standalone version of Lightroom indefinitely”.
